Raven Cliff Falls Trail starts off just across from the parking lot. During the hike you will cross and walk alongside countless little streams and rivers. There are many photo opportunities along the trail if you have a keen eye! Near the end of the trail a huge rock formation will appear with a waterfall secretly tucked away inside. If you are brave enough you can even venture inside the crevice to the waterfall for a better view. Although I must warn you not to attempt rock climbing of any sorts near this waterfall as it is strictly prohibited.!
The trail quality is fair. Some trees are down that block the path and there is a small portion where the trail itself becomes a water crossing if the rains are heavy enough. However I found the trail to be more than accessible during my initial hike at 4:30AM. I should note that if you do plan to night hike or sunrise hike this trail make sure you have done it before! I became disoriented, and lost at least twice during my first sunrise hike.
For camping, the trail sports a number of campsites that are right next to the river. With that being said water shouldn't be much of a problem assuming you brought a water filter. Fire pits are available at each campsite as well. For a camp set up it is really up to you. Traditional tent camping or hammock camping are both suitable here. Truth be told you really don't need much to go camping here. You just need to make sure that you are able and willing to pack out what you pack in.
I thoroughly enjoyed this trail, from the rivers and streams to the grand waterfall at the end. I hope to see you out on the trail the next time I go!
