In my personal opinion Fort mountain is one of the best views in Georgia. The trail that leads to the overlook is known as the Stone Tower Trail to Stone Wall Trail Loop. Its a 1.5 mile loop trail located in the Cohutta mountains near Chatsworth. The loop trail is fairly trafficked with a 423 foot elevation gain. This trail Primarily used for hiking and currently dog friendly as long as the dog is kept on a leash.
The main lookout deck boasts a nearly 360 degree view. The fall colors are quite magnificent from the view, even more so when the sun sets. There are a plethora of photo opportunities along the trail, as you can see below. I highly recommend checking this trail out. You won't regret it!
